38NA 9BE(48CA,X):NOT OBSERV:XUNDL-12019AH07 202212 38NA c Compiled (unevaluated) dataset from 2019Ah07: 38NA2c Phys Rev Lett 123, 212501 (2019). 38NA c Compiled by B. Singh (McMaster), Nov 30, 2022 38NA c Search for the observation of {+38}Na nuclide proved negative, thus 38NA2c suggesting that {+38}Na is unbound towards neutron emission. 38NA c 2019Ah07: E({+48}Ca)=345 MeV/nucleon beam from RIBF 38NA2c accelerator complex at RIKEN. Projectile fragments were separated and 38NA3c identified in flight using the large-acceptance two-stage separator 38NA4c BigRIPS spectrometer by tof-B|p-|DE method. The time-of-flight (tof) 38NA5c was measured using two thin plastic scintillators placed at the 38NA6c intermediate and final foci of the second stage of the BigRIPS 38NA7c separator. Magnetic rigidity (B|p) was measured from position 38NA8c measurement at the intermediate focus using the plastic scintillator. 38NA9c The energy loss (|DE) was measured using an array of six silicon 38NAAc detectors installed at the final focus. Optimum setting of B|p was 38NABc tuned to {+36}Ne, based on detailed simulations of the reaction and 38NACc transmission with the LISE++ code. Measured atomic number (Z) versus 38NADc atomic mass/atomic number (A/Z) particle-identification plot. 38NAEc Production target was irradiated with 1.4|*10{+17} {+48}Ca ions in 38NAFc 14 h. No events were observed for {+38}Na, implying that this nuclide 38NAGc is unbound towards neutron emission. Expected counts were 62 {I19} 38NAHc (2019Ah07) from EPAX 2.15 reaction model calculations, with optimum 38NAIc setting on {+36}Ne+{+39}Na 38NA L 0.0 ?
